Pirating For Jesus, 2009-ongoing
Pirating for Jesus (P4J) is an ongoing mapping project that examines the historical tradition of tithing, almsgiving, and "free will offerings" to churches and other religious institutions. According to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' (LDS) mission re: tithing, "The Bible indicates that God’s people followed the law of tithing anciently; through modern prophets, God restored this law once again to bless His children. To fulfill this commandment, Church members give one-tenth of their income to the Lord through His Church. These funds are used to build up the Church and further the work of the Lord throughout the world."

To these ends, the P4J project documents my looting (or collecting) certain objects of nominal value, often through happenstance, and then my bringing said objects to various churches leaving them at the religious sites as sacrificial donations for the Messiah. A detailed website with an accompanying online map tracks the stolen objects that I have procured, the religious donation sites, and the respective dates that said donations were finalized and bequest to the churches. {More here}
